A successful author-driven book tour increases an author’s visibility while strengthening publisher-retailer-reader relationships. Julia Pohl-Miranda, Editorial and Marketing Manager at Drawn & Quarterly, shares the step-by-step process of planning and promoting a successful author-driven tour, and the lessons she’s learned working on book tours with authors as diverse as Lynda Barry, Kate Beaton, Guy Delisle, Art Spiegelman, Jillian Tamaki, and Adrian Tomine.
