Baraka Books is a Quebec-based English-language book publisher specializing in creative and political non-fiction, history and historical fiction, and fiction. Our belief is that books are a haven of freedom and that they remain the foremost vector for change.

Bunim & Bannigan Ltd, founded 2005, is an eclectic publishing house with offices in Charlottetown and Montreal. We offer original Canadian fiction and non-fiction and translated Russian and German literature.

Corner Studio was created during the summer of 2020 as a place of design, print and paint … from traditional publishing via environmentally friendly print-on-demand poetry, memoirs, local history, and children’s books, to artist catalogues, limited edition or hand-bound bookarts including collaborations with artists and printmakers. A sketchbook series & pairing of guestbooks with paintings are ongoing projects.

Daraja Press is a not-for-profit publisher that seeks to reclaim the past, contest the present, and invent the future. “Daraja” is the KiSwahili word for “bridge,” and as our name suggests, we seek to build bridges of solidarity between movements and emancipatory struggles.

Founded by native Montrealer Chris Oliveros in 1989, D+Q has steadily grown over the past two decades to be the world’s leading and most respected publisher of quality graphic novels and comic books by cartoonists from around the globe.

Established in 1978, Guernica Editions has published over five hundred titles from around the world that reflect its commitment to a social agenda with a special understanding of different cultures. Under new management since 2010, to its traditional series of prose, poetry, drama, and essays, it has added two new imprints: Miroland to publish other literary genres and Guernica World Editions to publish books from authors outside of Canada.

Since 1998 Kersplebedeb has been an important source of radical literature and agit prop materials. Metonymy Press publishes literary fiction and nonfiction by emerging writers.  We try to reduce barriers to publishing for authors whose perspectives are underrepresented in order to produce quality materials relevant to queer, feminist, and social justice communities. Phoenicia Publishing is interested in words and images that illuminate culture, spirit, and the human experience. We are a small, independent, International publisher based in Montreal, publishing book-length poetry, creative non-fiction, fiction, music, photography and art.

Created in 2010, Éditions Pow Pow is a Montréal-based publisher which specializes in comics and graphic novels. Pow Pow Press has been translating some of these books from French to English since 2015 – making them available to a brand new audience.

Robin Brass Studio Inc. is a small Canadian publishing house producing primarily non-fiction books for the Canadian market. While our list includes much military history, we are interested in a variety of subjects, including Canadian history; military, local, cultural and technological history; natural history; biography; memoirs; and other non-fiction areas.

Small press – tremendous books !! This is the challenge Shoreline has had with each new publication. Shoreline began its storied life in 1991 beside the Ottawa River in Sainte-Anne-de Bellevue, with a focus on first-time authors.
