2021 Holiday Book Fair

Presented by the Association of English-language Publishers of Quebec and the Quebec Writers’ Federation, the 2021 Read Quebec Holiday Book Fair invites booklovers to explore the breadth and depth of books from here. With a lively mix of events featuring authors and translators and their exciting new work, we look forward to welcoming audiences virtually and in person.

The hub for all things Book Fair is readquebec.ca – discover and buy books, check out our jury’s selection of this year’s Quebec titles, and get all the details on our series of events happening at the Atwater Library, Centre St. Jax, and online.

Fair activities take place Tuesday, November 16 through Thursday, November 18, 2021. Some require advance sign-up, others are first-come, first-seated. Vaccination passports, photo ID, and masks will be required for all in-person events, see below for all the details.

Marie-Claire Blais in conversation with Katia Grubisic

Tomson Highway in conversation with Ann-Marie MacDonald

Playwright, novelist, composer, and pianist, Tomson Highway’s play The Rez Sisters and his novel Kiss of the Fur Queen brought Cree life to the world. He will discuss his new book, Permanent Astonishment: A Memoir, with playwright, actor, and novelist Ann-Marie MacDonald, whose first book, runaway bestseller Fall On Your Knees, was a selection of Oprah’s Book Club.
